Known for sculptures, murals
Born with an artistic mind and creative genre, Anand Prabhudesai had his art education
in sculptures from Sir J J School of Arts, Mumbai. He received several awards from
Bombay Art Society Maharashtra State Government (Meritorious award) and sculpture-de-symposiums awards
from Morges Switzerland for stone carving as well as residency at Eldorado Art Centre,
Colorado USA which are truly his proud achievements.
His two artworks displayed with us are titled Unity in Diversity,
Fibre-reinforced plastic and acrylic on MDF made in 2021.
His works in this series enables the viewers to read and see many meaningful visual effects in the sculptures
through well-developed visual language of forms and expressions.
There are two bodies of work in this show. One is based on the drawings that preceded the work
and the other mural like drawings which are legibly formal and intelligibly fluid as
well as aesthetically picturesque and transparent in their own way
