He is quiet, composed and almost meditative. This zen demeanour reflects in his semi-abstract paintings, which come heavily inspired from nature and its many elements. Piyush believes that art should move you – it should make you feel, rather than make you think. A man of few words, the fluidity of his thoughts takes the form of abstract expressions on his canvas and papers. Piyush’s conscientious and calm personality translates into his work.
His works are in collection of Times of India, Maharashtra Times, Kalpataru Builders and many other private collectors.
Artist Note: I strongly believe everything is connected in the universe: stars, planets, plants, animals, humans all the life on earth. And all have influence on each other in some or the other way. At present in my paintings I try to depict this connection/ influence of the moon on the waves of the massive sea not just waves but all the water on earth and even the water inside us humans. Water covers a major part of our mother earth and our body as well. Use of black and white as major colours is to achieve highest contrast and balance which we also get to see in yin yang, describing however opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world.
