I believe that a multitude of life experiences go on to make what our emotional state of mind is. The human identity usually deals with various emotional states of mind which could be emerging through diverse individual circumstances. As women though we do not differ biologically from each other, we are uniquely distinct at the emotional level. However, there are certain similarities we could find to a certain extent in the gender by and large. Yet, each individual responds differently to situations and circumstances which impact one’s emotional behaviour at different times. Accordingly, I have been depicting the multiple dimensions of my emotional states through my genre of works.
During my academic journey as a student of fine arts, specializing in Printmaking I always tried to understand the medium that I found considerably more comfortable for me. Hence, mostly I worked with intaglio and relief printing to express my ideas. As I have been experiencing and understanding the technical approach of these two particular techniques I am gradually connecting to my ideas in a much discrete manner.
The pictorial essence of my works has been changing from time to time according to the variations of my emotional states which I simulate with ‘Ocean Waves ‘. The different diameter of waves and their size always creates the identity of Ocean which could also be related to melody and the rhythm created as its identity. Likewise the emergence of diverse emotional states of mind reflects the variation of my creative identities according to different circumstances as I am considering my existence.
